Festivals

The annual Ulsavam, the annual Nadayilaattu, and the Navaratri Vilakkulsavam are our main Festivals.

Annual Ulsavam (Thidambu Nritham)

Thidambunritham is a ritual performed in many temples on the auspicious occasion of the main festival on a pre-fixed day according to the stars.

Annual Kaliyattam (Nadayilaattu)

Celebrated 2-3 days after the Annual Ulsavam, the kaliyattam has three dieties (Goddess Karimchamundi, Mangarachamundi and Lord Parava) – this is an overnight celebration of devotion and prayers.

Navarathri Vilakkulsavam

Coinciding with the Navarathri celebrated all over India, this is the celebration prior to Dussehra depicting the victory of good over evil.
